🚀 SENIOR AI ENGINEER | AGENTIC AI SYSTEMS
Early-stage startup is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and evolve Agentic AI systems end-to-end.
🧠 THE ROLE
You will play a central role in defining how AI works inside the company — from core abstractions and architecture to production deployment and continuous improvement. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants to build real autonomous systems, not just integrate models. You’ll work closely with founders, product, and engineering, with strong ownership over the AI systems that power the platform.
🔧 WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
You’ll build AI systems that act, not just respond.
- Agentic architectures: goal understanding, task decomposition, planning (ReAct, tree-based, custom), execution
- Autonomy & reliability: scheduling, long-running workflows, retries, rollbacks, failure recovery
- Tool-using agents: APIs, functions, plugins, decision logic, human-in-the-loop checkpoints
- Memory & state: short- and long-term memory, context management, summarization, governance
- Multi-agent systems: specialized agents, coordination, delegation, handoffs, shared vs isolated state
- Production AI: Python services, RAG pipelines, observability, evaluation, cost & latency optimization, guardrails

✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A senior builder who thinks in systems, not prompts.
- Senior software engineer with strong system design skills.
- Proven experience with LLM or agentic systems beyond demos.
- Comfortable designing abstractions and architectures from scratch.
- Able to own work from idea → MVP → production.
- Strong understanding of reliability, observability, and failure modes.
- Enjoys ambiguity, fast iteration, and high ownership.
Bonus: startup or scale-up experience, workflow/automation design, unstructured data (docs, PDFs, APIs), strong trade-off thinking (accuracy vs cost vs speed vs safety).
